As a complete beginner on the piano, this is a really useful book to get started on boogie Woogie piano. The exercises get steadily more difficult, but if you practice you will get there/5(6).

In the case of the Beginner's Boogie as demonstrated in the lesson, the timing is dead straight - each note being worth one beat and there being four beats to each bar or measure. Once you have learned it straight, I would encourage you to experiment with other ways of timing it to make your own version - it's not really intended to be played strictly 'as written'.

Apr 02,  · To learn how to play piano boogie woogie let’s start by constructing the chord you are going to play in the right hand. We are going to play a C chord which consists of three notes – C, E and G. First of all, place your thumb on the C and sit all of your remaining fingers of your right hand on the rest of the keys to the right of the C.
