    Iry convinced Schuler to let him record a couple of songs, so Schuler snuck Iry into the studio after hours and bribed the on-duty engineer with a fifth of Old Crow to cut an acetate. Schuler had the 78 RPM discs cut from the acetate and the record sold like hotcakes owing to the end of WWII and the return of many Cajuns from the war who wanted.

    Independent record label founded in and based in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Run by musician and songwriter Eddie Shuler (), who also had his own Goldband Recording Studio in the tiny backroom of his radio & tv shop. There he recorded a wild variety of styles: Cajun, swamp pop, zydeco, rhythm & blues, rockabilly, country, blues.
